yes not bald but definitly not bad enogh. I would get a new carbon seal just to be sure. Did you have any thrust at all after you suddenly lost it?

Motor running as it should? Did you regain any thrust after? First thought was that the carbon seal lost it....sudden loss of thrust...but it looks fine

There should be a rubber "bumper" at both(or maybe just at the flywheel end [emoji848] ) ends of the shaft.... Easy to miss

Yes you have to split it to inspect. Pull the pluggs and spray wd40 and the crank the engine by hand to suck the wd40 in Both times I got my motor running in a hour or two.....donno what a week will cause [emoji848] The idea is to get the motor running as quick as possible after your drain it...

But it did initialy so I don't think your engine is trashed....depends offcours how long its been sinse you got the water out [emoji848] As long as you don't get air/drain your crank it wont rust. Anyway the starter clicks but nothing else. The starter could get toasted with water inside of it...

Does the starter turn on but not engage? My starter broke and fell down filling my mag side with water seizing my bendix.... Had to pull the engine but with some wd40 it was back in action in notime (apart from buying a new starter $$$) The starter is in a closed shell exept where the cog comes...

Donno, looks neglected but not trashed, but can be a can of worms engine and drivetrain wise. I',m thinking rust, seased impeller,seased pistons. It's pretty vintage so thats worth something. Recon you'll spend at least €450 on it. Do you work on your machine yorselfe? Thats gona help you...

In my case I have a universal automotive handpump that you can use for many things ,pop off,crankcase and jetpump you just use different hoses and nozzels,tip etc. You can pump pressure or vacume.
