    Challenger 230 squealing supercharger?

I have an issue with a 230 Challenger SE 510 HP. Boat has about 180 hours. impeccably well maintained.superchargers were rebuilt about 80 hours ago. While traveling at high idle I heard a loud squealing sound and shut down both motors. Started them both back up individually to isolate which...

    Beeper wire connector

Do the motors start without hearing the beep? If so, you likely still have a bad beeper. Try tapping it or blowing it out with compressed air. Try holding the beeper close to your ear and installing the key. If the beeper is just gummed up you should hear a very faint "tick-tick".

    Seat Back Bolt Insert Help

I had this happen several times. I would not sweat it. The rear bench seat bottoms will stay down even with a bolt missing on each side, and with both of the automotive barbs not working on each end. If it makes you feel better you can put a couple of strips of HD velcro down. It definitely...

    1995 speedster engine swap

Don't know if the 720's will work with an MPEM designed for a 657x. Don't know if the motor mounts will work. Wondering about shaft length and impeller compatibility. It's an interesting idea, though. I'll follow along. Please post your progress. If it was possible, I think we would see this...

    98 Challenger Project

Following your story. They can always get interesting. One thing, and maybe somebody touched on this already, but I think the boat you have there is a 2000, not a 1998. To my knowledge the only 14.5 footer Sea-Doo made in 98 was the last of the Sportster singles. Just concerned that some of the...

    1996 Speedster Restoration & Upgrades

I'll keep an eye on your thread. The water you're getting is likely coming up through the cockpit Scupper. Any water that accumulates on the floor is supposed to be evacuated through the hole behind the driver's feet and out the transom where there should be a check valve. It's nothing more than...

    water's leaking somewhere 95's sporster

On several Sea-Doo boats I have owned, the rubber boot that seals the through hull exhaust fitting gets old and cracked. It can let in a lot of water and it's almost impossible to see. Likewise, it is almost impossible to replace. Check yours, if you see cracking, just take some black silicone...

Oil in cylinder - aka Leaking crankshaft seal on 787

Seeing as the motor has nearly as new compression, I would put a ball valve on it for now. If you ever have more serious engine issues that require pulling it, dig into it then. If it was me, I would tie the key on to the ball valve every time I was done for the day, for obvious reasons.

    1997 seadoo speedster seat removal

The last Sea-Doo boat with a keeper seat I tore apart had 4 ( I think)fairly heavy stainless steel screws that were screwed in from the bottom of the horseshoe piece. These screws must have been installed before the two halves of the boat were put together. After you get the square butt piece...

The Elusive and dreaded seven beeps.

No I haven't. And no one seems to know anything about it. I have a question for you, though. Do you have the original mpem in your boat or has it been replaced?

The Elusive and dreaded seven beeps.

1997 Seadoo Challenger 1800. Twin 787. This is the third spring this has occurred. On initial startup, two beeps and the starboard motor starts and runs immediately. Depressing the port motor start button results in 7 long beeps not chirps. Starboard motor shut off immediately and the port motor...
