    1996 Speedster Restoration & Upgrades

I'll keep an eye on your thread. The water you're getting is likely coming up through the cockpit Scupper. Any water that accumulates on the floor is supposed to be evacuated through the hole behind the driver's feet and out the transom where there should be a check valve. It's nothing more than...

    water's leaking somewhere 95's sporster

On several Sea-Doo boats I have owned, the rubber boot that seals the through hull exhaust fitting gets old and cracked. It can let in a lot of water and it's almost impossible to see. Likewise, it is almost impossible to replace. Check yours, if you see cracking, just take some black silicone...

Oil in cylinder - aka Leaking crankshaft seal on 787

Seeing as the motor has nearly as new compression, I would put a ball valve on it for now. If you ever have more serious engine issues that require pulling it, dig into it then. If it was me, I would tie the key on to the ball valve every time I was done for the day, for obvious reasons.

1996 Speedster gear shift arm broken

Did you ever fix your problem? I've got a s*** ton of Parts including shifters.

    1997 seadoo speedster seat removal

The last Sea-Doo boat with a keeper seat I tore apart had 4 ( I think)fairly heavy stainless steel screws that were screwed in from the bottom of the horseshoe piece. These screws must have been installed before the two halves of the boat were put together. After you get the square butt piece...

The Elusive and dreaded seven beeps.

No I haven't. And no one seems to know anything about it. I have a question for you, though. Do you have the original mpem in your boat or has it been replaced?

The Elusive and dreaded seven beeps.

1997 Seadoo Challenger 1800. Twin 787. This is the third spring this has occurred. On initial startup, two beeps and the starboard motor starts and runs immediately. Depressing the port motor start button results in 7 long beeps not chirps. Starboard motor shut off immediately and the port motor...

Help for long voyage in a seadoo. challenge

Just make sure your life insurance is paid up, as no 2-stroke Seadoo product has ever traveled 1000Nm without breaking down.

    1995 Speedster 657X - No start

If you're hitting it with premix through the carbs or the spark plug holes, and the motor turns over, sounds to me like you have a spark issue. Those 94 and 95 speedsters were funny. Some were mpem boats, some were not. See if you can get the plug wires from the good engine on to the one that...

Low compression on both engines 787 speedster, only 1 with problems.

The compression of your cylinders is fine. I would be looking in a different direction for the problem. Don't let anybody tell you that it's due for a rebuild at 135 PSI.

1997 sportster runs well for 15-20 minutes then surges.

You might also consider an air leak. As the the motor heats up and parts expand it can aggravate weak spots in gaskets and seals. Next time it is causing you troubles Maybe shoot a little starting fluid around and see if you can induce a surge. Just a thought.

    1996 Seadoo Speedster

Can you humor me and explain your starting sequence and exactly what happens when you attempt to start each motor? Do you get two beeps when you install the key with the shift lever in neutral? There's only one shift lever and yes, it does need to be in neutral to start the motors. If you...

    Blue/Green 2 Stroke Oil?

I've seen lots of people with this oil they get from Walmart. It's cheap, yes, but it's not the correct oil for a Sea-Doo boat, or any other Sea-Doo for that matter. You need an API TC rating full synthetic. Never a tcw3. But as this age old discussion has shown us, people will run whatever they...

    2000' Challenger 1800 parts boat

I picked up an '00 Challenger 1800 with a 210 sport jet. I needed it for the "gearbox". The upholstery is trashed but it has many nice parts There is also a fully dressed 210 in it. It rotates about 340°, then clunks to a stop. Unknown at this point what's wrong with it. Anybody know if there...
