Did the carbon seal take care of the issue?

Did replacing the wear ring take care of your slow to plane issue? Was it easy enough to do yourself? I am getting quotes of $250 for parts and labor.

The fiber glass is very thick in that area and it was very hard to drive the screws in there. That's actually why I chose to drill pilot holes. No worries on supporting larger units.

Hello folks and thanks for posting just helpful information. Which transducers are you using? It seems all the transducers that come with these various 3.5-4 inch garmins are transom mounts. Are you using these same transducers in your hull?
