96xp lean seizure ?

The boat was running perfect I should have know it to seize.
WOT for about 10 min just carving around a big open cove it cut off . I got it back to camp and the mag plug looked very light and the pto was black but dry.
Last I check the plugs they look good a little dark 2 weeks ago.
I’ve been running Jt4@44 to 1 I think I might have mixed it at 88 to 2 1 by mistake?
The boat has been run hard all summer long any ideas.

I’ve been running 44-1 for 2.5 gal on my ratio right X2 and my kid questioned if I had added the 2nd. I thought I did but now not so much.

88:1 would cause it to seize running Wide open for 10 minutes. If you are going to run wide open for more than a few minutes you should be running 32:1. 40:1 is the absolute minimum you should be mixing.

I wasn’t sure that I forgot to add the oil. I’ll know more when I take it apart this weekend.

Most (99%) seizures on these are caused by poorly maintained carbs/fuel systems.

40:1 and rock and roll. My speedster has been pre mix for years. Plugs always look good and I always like to do a nice run fully wicked for a few minutes here and there. Make sure the rest of your fuel system is good to go.

The fuel system has been gone through the carbs are as clean as new and I bypassed the fuel selector.
I'm pulling it tomorrow and will see what I see. i'm hopping a hone and a new set pistons and I can finish out the season. nothing grabs my fingernail so I'm hoping.
