Wont start in the water

Hi I have a 1999 gtx rfi that will not start in the water but starts on the trailer also rattles a little on and off when I give it gas I put a new 1 and 2 silencer on it because they were melted the really long one on the left side I decided to delete it and made a u shaped pipe to replace it I started it on the trailer and had my brothers back me in and I was of it ran fine until I stopped no idling in water then the battery was dead any one help me me please

Well, first off I would check your battery voltage. It rectifiers aren’t uncommon to go bad and the injected skis love their voltage.

At least 12V at idle and 13.5 Erving it to 4500 rpm on the trailer. If its under 12V at rest it’s the battery. If it’s under 13 or over 14.5 at 4500 rpm the rectifier is bad.
