Wont Run (fuel issue)

hey guys sorry if youve seen something like this before, i tried to search but found nothing. I just bought 2 wave runners and the seadoo is having some fuel issues. It will only run if you continue to pump the primer, To me it sounds like a fuel pump issue but i dont know much about these. Does this have a fuel pump or is it gravity fed? Have you seen anything like this before? Im going to work on it this weekend but if you guys have anything to look for right away it would help. Thanks alot i appreciate it.

It would help if we knew the model... and primer? PRevious owner must have added that on in replace of the choke, cuz skis have chokes not primers...Give us some more info on 'er... then we'll help ya

Sorry Its an 1997 Seadoo HX with a 717 Rotax engine. and yes the kid installed a primer kit to remove the choke because he was having trouble getting it to run. thank you for trying to help me
