I bought the DEI 451M and installed it per the instructions on youtube and this site. Attached is the video of it working. The only thing I still need to do is wire the last two wires from the DEI to the trim up and down buttons. I was wondering if instead of wiring them all the way up to the trim button, if I could splice them into the OEM harness that runs to the VTS box so all my wiring is in the back of the ski? I just dont know what wires on the harness control up and down trim. My gauge works so I dont want to cut into the ones that control that.
If someone could make it simple and just tell me which two wires in the attached pictures I need to splice into, that would be great.
Picture 258 is the harness that goes to the VTS box and 305 is the harness that goes to the front of the ski.
This is on a 1997 XP.
