What is this part? And how the crap do I put it back on? 97 GTI

Last year I had trouble with my reverse. So I forced it hard. Bent my cable and got a new one on the way now. But after wondering why this was happening I found this piece on the left part of the piece that drops down over the jet making your ski do reverse. I have another ski exactly he same but still can't figure out how to put this back. I think the smaller clip goes under it somehow to make it "springy".

The first photo are the pieces in question. The second is a pic of my other ski with the piece still on it.

Also it looks like a pin or something helps hold this in place. Anyone with a part number for that missing pin would be a god send.

You need a 1/8" roll pin, stainless steel. You'd need to measure the lenght or just order part#211400009

it's a lock for the reverse gate so the gate doesn't move down while in forward movement.
