Wear Ring on 97 Seadoo GSI

I was curious if anyone has any incite on how easy it is to replace the wear ring. I was told by a shop that it would be a good idea to replace it (they said they could tell it would need to be replaced soon).I am brand new to the jet ski world and was curious the level of difficulty in replacing one and if i would need any special tools in order to do so.(I have experience as a vehicle mechanic).

You will need an impeller tool a vise and a hacksaw blade. With the impeller removed cut the old ring then pull it out. Put the new ring in the freezer and it will practically drop in.
