wear ring / 1998 gts

I just received a wear ring in the mail. The packing slip has the wear ring and the right part#. I thought I was getting an original seadoo part. It does not look like the wear ring in the maintenance manual. It is white and does not have the lip on one edge. It looks like a section of pvc pipe. Is it OK to use this aftermarket ring?

put the ring and pump in the freezer tonite and in the a.m. it will slip right in!
