Hello,
I’m fairly new to the game, only about 45 hours on the machine. I just put it through an oil change at 40, and now since then I’ve been noticing water coming into the hull, as high as about 4 inches from the bottom center.
I noticed when riding that my bilge was going which is when I first checked to see. I later discovered that if I’m travelling at a fast rate I receive little to no gain in water, but when doing circles & having fun, I experience a good amount of water (before the oil change, it was always bone dry regardless of what I did).
I looked inside and found a white hard shell cap which is why I’m here to see if anyone knows about it. It was broken in what looked like half (I don’t know how long it was), but broken it was about an inch long, w/ a quarter inch diameter. It had a hole in the top as well.
I’m hoping warranty covers whatever the issue is, but you never know, so I’m stressing a bit. Before I forget, I found as I put it in forward w/ no gas, it was making a bigger, more aggressive growl that didn’t sound good. I’m not going to use it until it’s looked at, but I’m just curious if anyone here has any ideas. I’m leaning towards a seal at the front being the issue, but I can’t see as much as 4” of water amongst the machine as that being the issue.
For the record, the plugs were in, and I’ve not hit anything.
Thanks, and sorry for being so new.
