Vertical play in 2018 handlebar / steering column

Anyone else have vertical play in their 2018 handlebars? Recently brought home twins and realized one has annoying vertical play. Other does not (see video).

UPDATE: Dealer finally found the issue. A part was missed during manufacturing: part # 277001654 which is a steering column spacer. Ordered part and installed under warranty. Not thrilled about it, but happy it is now fixed.

If its a 2018 take it to the dealer and complain. Should be an easy fix for them.

I have the same issue on my 2018 RXT 230. The dealer had more with the same issue. Thanks to this post, the dealer contacted BRP! And i hope They are solving the issue

Glad it was helpful. BRP will likely ask the dealer to open the steering column and check to see if that spacer part is in there. If it is, it may be damaged and should be replaced under warranty. If it is not, they they should install it under warranty.

I don't know who you talked to, but they are wrong. There is a fix and it is in the first message of this thread.

Ok, so just order that spacer. And get them to install it, and the problem is gone?

Yes, assuming that is the issue. If it is a 2018 it likely is.

I would be calling another dealer and corporate if your dealer brushed you off.
