Looks like the previous owner (95 spx) incorrectly routed some of the vent lines, namely the fuel vent that should go to the steering area, this was plumbed over to the oil tank check valve. A small nipple coming off of the VTS motor with the "hydrophobic vent" 
was plumbed up in the steering. here's what I have for venting now:
Fuel Tank, vent line T's off of the pick up one side out to the hull, the other to the little grommet up by the hood latch.
