I have two skis I got with hopes and dreams of fixing them and using them, but losing interest daily with all the other things I have going on.
I would just like to get out from under them for what I invested, $1500. I'm not willing to take any loss otherwise I will just stay the course and fix them.
There is some good parts here if someone has some time they would make good skis to clean up and use.
98 951 XPL
97 787 spx
Both motors are out and apart, but I have all the parts from them.
The 951 has a Rossier pipe, clamp on filters, reeds, possibly an intake grate. The motor is completely disassembled and the crank should be rebuilt, it was running, but the main bearings dont appear to be good enough to reassemble.. Its bored 1mm, so it will probably need a jug and a crank to get it going plus some other tinkering. The bore doesn't really look too bad, just has this strange bevel at very tip of the sleeve.
The spx 787 I pulled the top ends off and that's where I stopped. The crank spins free, but should be pulled all the way down and inspected. The top end on that will need to be measured and the carbs will need a rebuilt ECT all the basics you would do anyway when going that far.
So to recap, two skis that were running at one point, both need rebuilds, every part I have for them is included.
I sent out for titles last month, waiting to get a transferable reg back from dmv. I need to have double trailer weighed and will get the reg for that back as well.
