just purchased a used 2002 gtx di had it out on the lake, and only getting a top speed of 50 mph. would have expected closer to 60. does anyone know what should be the top speed.

2002 GTX has 787 in it I think so I think that buts you at around ~54 in top working condition no mods.

And if your using the on board gauge to clock your speed those are known to be wrong by ~5 consistently. Use a GPS if you want a actual speed.

I am not really sure what the factory rated top speed is supposed to be. For the new 255 HP ski's max top speed is 68 MPH which is electronically governed due to this being the Coast Guards max allowable speed for a PWC that is not a race ski.
