thinking about buying 99 challenger

I'm looking to purchase a 99 challenger in the near future and I was just wondering what kind of stuff I need to look for before I make the purchase. I don't want smoeone else's problem so I want to be on a look out for things that are wrong but unable to tell by untrained eye.

I have had bad luck with a jetski before where the exhaust pipe had come loose letting water in the hull as it was cooling the engine block. and pretty much had to scrap it. I didn't know anything back then so live and learn.

compression test! you can rent a tester from autozone or similar place. This will give you a heads up right away to some big engine issues. Also look at the impeller and wear ring to make sure the jet hasn't sucked up some nastiness in the past.

Do I just look in the grate and the water outlet for these? clueless on em lol

pretty much, bring a flash light.

"wear ring" as the name says, it wears and needs replacement.

how do I know if it's bad?

if theres a substantial amount of light shining thru/around the impellor...about a dime thickness, or impellors bent.
