I just recently bought a 1998 seadoo gsx and I finally got it on the water and it took on alot of water while I was trying to run it and after it took on water I left it near the dock and went to go get my truck to get it out and the water level did not seem to get worse. It also only runs at about 25 mph.

does anyone have any ideas?

Thanks

check the carbon seal. the seal on the drive shaft at the rubber boot where it goes through the hull. did you notice any cavitating? do a search for carbon seal on here and you should get a ton of results.

98 pumps were known for losing bailer tubes. Look in the end of the pump, and you should see 2 white (maybe black) tubes coming down into the jet stream.
