Synthetic oil life

Recently bought a 1997 GTS that had fuel issues but was running last year. The ski has set covered and out of the elements since then. Previous owner and good friend said he only ran seadoo synthetic oil in the ski. Should I replace the oil after it has set for a year? I have replaced all the hoses, rebuilt the carb, jet pump and it started right up yesterday. The oil looks to be in good shape and there isn't sludge at the bottom of the tank. Thoughts?

I wouldn't, make sure the sytem is oil injected though, if he installed a block off kit, then you need premix in the gas.
If oil injected, then you'll need synthetic to add to resivoir, since synthetic is in now.
