Hey all! had a bad day Yesterday, got too close to the shore and sucked up some rocks, got the rocks to clear but then we could smell smoke and the "exhaust over heating alarm started going off, we moored up to a yaght in Boston harbor and got a ride to marina, im going back now to tow it back with its twin, what could have happened to stop it cooling? do i need to dismantle, is there a fix i could possibly do in the water?

Your wear ring and/or impeller were damaged. The loss of thrust and waterflow from the damage also stops cooling water flow to the cooling system and overheating.
