Well, replaced both wear rings on my boat. What a difference, great planing, acceleration that throws you in your seat. I am running 53mph GPS with 80% fuel, 2 people and gear. Is that a good speed?

After I found the leak from the Intake Clearance shaft, I was able to patch it, but I need to do a permanant fix as it still leaks a tad.

On the way back after our 1 hour drive tonight, I heard a whining sound from the right engine. Engine wasnt missing or anything, but it sounded like a bad power steering system in a car. It kind of sounded like a blender that changed with RPM. Nothing is stuck in the pump and when I flushed the engines a minute ago, I did not hear the noise.

What could it be? I have noticed the battery light on the right engine coming on (goes off when the other engine is running) Could the Alternator be making that noise? Do I need to grease the shaft at the PTO?

All it all it is coming along.. a lot of work, but I knew it wasnt going to be easy.

Thanks,

Joe
