2006 GTX wake edition. this is a simple problem and I know someone on here knows, but I don't want to trash the cables getting them off.

relay's bad. removed relay from the computer rack, turned it on it's side to get the red cables off the terminals of the relay....... what in the world is holding those things on?

are they clip on, or is that a nut in there. so much grease hard to tell.

fire away fellas!

I'm amazed that know one knows how to get these cables off.

I'll go down to the dock and work on it this morning and post how they came off.

Amazing!

The two bolts holding it to the computer rack are 10mm, but it looks like the nuts inside the red cable ends are going to be smaller. Was hoping someone would know what size they are. Got a can of brake cleaner and some more sockets, headed down to the dock to give it another look. Got too late yesterday evening to get it finished.

thanks for the stab at it. appreciate it.

Ok... for all you knowledge hoarders...

They are 10mm nuts, and they are recessed down in the rubber cable ends. The ends are red and have a lip that surrounds the nuts when they are tightened all the way.

Take the 10mm socket and push down on the rubber surroundings and it will give to let the socket go over the nut.

Lefty loosey... righty tighty

thanks for the help!

Nuts

Yes, they are 10 mm nuts but the red insulator makes it hard to get a socket in there. I've taken a 10mm socket and ground down (tapered) the leading edge of the socket and it makes it alot easier.
