Start/stop switch replacement

I have a 2003 GTI LE RFI and the start switch is very intermittent. I ordered a replacement switch. Can anyone tell me how to replace this switch?

Unplug the wire connector under the steering, note the wire color orientation and write it down, then unclip, use your .097 pin extractor to pull out the wires from the connector, then after you remove the steering cover the wires can be pull up the steering. Connect a fish-line to
it so you can pull you new wires back down thru the steer column. Pretty easy, about a 15 minute job.
