Hi Guys

Can any one help please I have an SPX which has been in storage fo rfive years when i put a battery on and try to start nothing happens; even the beep sound as the key is put onto the spx?

well first off make shure the battery is completely new or else it might not move or do anything. Secondly if you want to try to jump it just take the battery out and connect jumper cables to the leads. In the time I have used my SPX it has never beeped so I don't know if yours would but mine doesnt. Also take the spark plugs out so that the engine will run free and if the starter is slightly siezed it can shake the cobwebs off. Next I would make shure that your lanyard is making a good connection. After that if nothing is still working check for anything like fuses that are blown and nothing is fowled in the driveline. Hope this helps.

Ok yes have too battery off and jump leads but still nothing, where are the fuses? I will check them out next.
Even the VTS does not operate?
Thansk for you help

Where the battery is located there is a tray, in frond of that tray is the gas and oil tanks. Above them is a plastic grey box with wires coming out of it check that for any irregularities. If that comes up clean check the box on the engine with wires coming out of it for any type of damage

Your a star!

Thats was the problem new fuse and its alive! BUT the engine turns with the spark plugs out and just "clicks noises" when they are put in. I am taking a guess that the battery i am jumping from hasnt enough power???? Plus I need to get a new battery would you know the model I need to order???

Thanks Gary
