Split insulation jacket on side of fuel injector

On the recommendation of a member to the question I posted I pulled my injectors. That was easy enough, while cleaning them up I discovered one had an open split down the side of the injector insulation jacket. Figured it may have been caused by the -20 and lower temps during a winter cold snap and moisture accumulation around the coils. Had hoped that might have been the cause of my problem. Re-installed injectors and started it up. It ran pretty well despite the damaged on the one injector.
I have a new one on order that will replace the damaged one. Will check the plugs as recommended also and try it again.
Also contemplating the purchase of a 'Can Doo Pro' unit as I plan to keep my (now getting old) '04 GTX SC 4 tech with just 100 hrs on it and a rebuilt SC.
Anyone else out there ever have a split injector jacket?

Having spent a great many years working vehicles, I can give you this advice.

DO NOT run the Ski with a split injector like that. Wait for the new one to come in. It's simply insurance.
