Hey all!! I got a question. I have a 94 spi with the 580. It runs great on hose but will die in the water after about 1 min won’t restart get it gone on hose and starts up fine. I recently put a race exhaust off a parts spi on. Didn’t do this before the exhaust. Any suggestions?

Put the stock exhaust back on. Its a 580. Racing exhaust isn’t going to do much for it.

I have a parts spi it had it so I put it on. I can run it on the hose (short time) just fine in the water different story

Avoid the pipe. So much more is done to a machine when swapping a pipe than just the pipe itself. If you don't have a good understanding of all the elements involved in making the motor run right the pipe will give you a lifetime of headaches.

Yep... I have a 96 SPI with a Factory Pipe. It's got a lot of stuff on it as mentioned, rev limiter, water solenoid, rejetted carbs, and different impeller. That little sucker is pretty fast and fun to ride but it is no SPX.
