speedometer stops at 20 mph

hello im new to this forum and new to sea doo mechanics. i have been running the ski wide open and the speedometer will not go over 20 mph and am probably actually going 45.
any suggestions.

Little Wheel

On the back of your ski down next to the jet pump on the left (facing ski) is a small paddle wheel. Check it and make sure it is not locked up.
Maybe give it shot of water proof grease and WD40.

Also check the wire that is connected to it and maybe clean the connection and put some dielectric grease on it. Good Luck!

All these watercraft have wacky speedo guages, this is why gps was born. In my bloboating days we used a sextant and charted how many miles per 24hr cycle.
