sound on a sportster

i was just wondering if anyone has put in a half desent sound system on a sportster, ive got a 1996 with no tunes at all and that just wont work. any help would be appreceated and all advise will be absorbed.

Seen them mounted under the wheel, or left side of driver compartment. Then with speakers, after drill yje hole, use "ty" wire to fetch wires around...you tackle this project, take pics and keep us posted. Have same boat, install'n flush mount fish'n pole holders and an auxillary 12v outlet...
