So picked up my 1996 Speedster on Monday. Prior to towing it 4 hours home, I had been out on the water and up to a point it ran perfectly. After around 15mins of normal running (not been stupid but just demonstarting the perfomance and characteristics), and then coming to idle whilst we swapped drivers seat, the S Engine cut out. It was then difficult to start but started in the end. Each time you then applied throttle it cut out. Eventually it started and it ran fine again.
4 hours later I got it home and went to flush it out. I started with the P side engine, started fine and flushed fine. The I tried the S engine and it wouldnt fire.
I have been diagnosing it this afternoon. When removing the spark plugs (new), fitting the plug to the HT cable and loosly grounding to the bracket on the Cylinder head (which is earthed, I have confirmed), there is no spark. Do the same thing on the P engine and you get a spark.
If I then connect 1 of the HT leads to the Orange block and try the other HT Lead with a plug in against the Head Bracket, you get a spark (picture shows the situation where I get a spark)
Bit confused why this is
