I am stuck on if I should try to rebuild this 787 out of a 97 gsx I just bought, or just get a rebuilt engine. I do have experience with engines and have split cases on numerous motorcycle motors(TL1000r Suzuki, cbr600, ect) with great results both times. I am a detail freak and nuts about making sure things are clean and assembled correctly. My worry is with the rotary valve timing and the rave valves as I've never messed with anything like these before. I have a manual on order and know I will need a degree wheel, but is that enough to make up for my inexperience with these? I'm definitely putting in a remaned crank and all new seals, and remaned top end with new pistons. There is not a lot of savings in doing it myself really but I enjoy the challenge and like working on things like this.:bigear: Any thing I need to look out for and or any tips, tricks out there? You help is greatly appreciated!!
