Shattered rave. Do I need to replace this?

I have a 96 gsx that the rear rave valve broke off on. I pulled the cylinder and had them redone at full bore and rave valves nodded foe the new cylinders. Getting ready to rebuild the carbs and start putting thing back together when I noticed that the cover has some pitting most like from when the rave came apart. My question is can this be repaired, do I need to replace or is it still ok to use it as it is. Thanks for any advice.20170823_110754.jpg20170823_110800.jpg

Ideally replace it, but that pitting is not too too bad... I have run worse when a ring got chewed up.... might take some 600 wet sandpaper on small hard block and smooth over the really high jagged spots... but you should be fine if FullBore did the work and the raves..... Dan Fairchild is a freaking wizard....
