Sea Doo Challenger Steering Cable Boot

I need to replace the boot on the steering cable and the control cable back by the jet. I just bought the boat and it needed a new steering cable that came with the sale but the new cable doesnt have a boot. Looked on line but I am not coming up with anything.

I cant be the only one that needs to replace these.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

I too have a Challenger and do not have a boot on the steering cable. You can check the parts tab at the top of the page for an exploded view of the steering parts.
there is also a sale for Seadoo steering boots on Ebay but I'm not sure if its what you need. just type in Seadoo steering boot

I looked on ebay and couldnt find it. When I look at the parts tab the boot is shown on the steering cable and does not have a part number to order.

What year of Speedster and what engine does it have? If it's one of the Mercury powered boats you can get the boots separate. Add your boat info to your profile like I have, it makes answering questions easier.

Sorry I just joined yesterday and didnt have a chance to get all my info in.

It is a 2000 Challenger 2000 with the Mercury v6.

AHHH mines a '97 with twin Rotax motors. That would explain why theres no boot on mine. Srry I was thinking the same boat.
I would imagine you could call any Seadoo dealer at least just for the part number to pick it up somewhere else.

I tried my local dealer and they said it does not have a part number it should have come with the cable.
