Sea-doo Bombardier build date location?

Hey guys, new here and new to any type of waterbourne vehicle ! I am an auto mechanic so anything to do with boats is completely foreign to me.

I bought a mid to late 90's seadoo bombardier gtx off my boss today as i thought the price was right, and forgive my ignorance, but i was wondering how i would be able to find out the exact build date ?

Welcome to the forum! The model year is the last two digits of the ID number. It is located on the black id plate right below the tie down spot on the rear of the ski. Also on the sticker on the rear of the ski. There are some other build stickers with more exact dates inside the ski. I think on the GTX, pull out the front bin and look for a sticker in there. http://www.seadoosource.com/seadoomodelreference.html is a reference page you can look at to pick out your ski. From you avatar, I am not sure what you have. Looks like someone changed some colors on it.

Welcome to the best Seadoo forum out there! As soccerdad stated the last 3 are the month and year of the ski.

Thankyou very much guys ! Last 3 digits are 595 so i take it that it is a may 1995 build ? Yeah it also has wiseco poston stickers on it. Has also recently had an engine rebuild, not sure what parts were used, trying to find out. It has a 649cc motor in it, are they any good ? Cheers for your quick response!

The 657 is a decent engine. It will get you along on the water and having fun.
