I just rebuilt the top end of my 1997 gtx. She seems to run pretty good. I just want to be sure that the 787 is giving me everything it can. I had mentioned before that I do not have a speedometer. For some readon it is not working.
The reason why I ask is because it seem like ot's not til I get to about 3/4 throttle that it really wants to open up and get on plane. It's maxing out at about 7,000 rpms. After I run for a bit the idle rmp's rest at about 2200. After sitting for a second it will settle down to about 1600. Does anyone know the max speed of the 97 gtx or what the max rpm's should be.
