What is the rave valve looking thing on the exhaust. Do I need to service or or rebuild it. The ski is new to me and trying to do all maintenance. Just replaced the rave valves which were a mess. Now I am wonder what this thing is

It’s a water regulator. It lets water in at low speed to cool the rubber parts but also changes the sonic wave to boost low end performance then at high speed it restricts water and dries the pipe out for more top end power.

The factory used a carbon steel clamp like idiots instead of stainless like everything else on the ski so they either rust out or poke a hole in the diagram.

If it’s leaking water you need to undo the clip, remove the cap, watch the spring underneath then pull out the valve internal and inspect.

Thanks it’s a 97 gtx. I am looking on line for a rebuild kit and the only thing I see is the blader are there other parts in there? It’s not leaking so I assume it’s working correctly?

There isn’t a kit. You have to order from a seadoo dealer. The two parts that go bad are the bellows and small clamp.

I would just pull it and check the spring clamp. If it’s not leaking they are typically working correctly.
