Pulled Out a Press Fit Part

Hello, I took this brass fitting out of a BN-40i-38 carburetor for my SeaDoo 2001 GTS 5521 because I thought it was threaded in, when it was actually press fitted. Can I push it back in and use some 592 thread sealant to seal it back in place, or is there something else I should do?

Put a thin film of red locktite on it and knock it back in with a hammer

Then monitor for leak.
