PTO coupler removal

I have the driveshaft removed and all the allen bolts out of the PTO coupler. Is it supposed to just come off at this point? I'm rebuilding the compressor. I know the balancer needs to be pulled after that with a puller, but the service manual makes it look like the coupler is supposed to just pop off. I tapped it a few times, but I don't want to hammer it.

Thanks.

Thanks guys. I figured it out. I tried to take it off like one that is threaded on and it came off. It took quite a bit to get it off though...

I guess I figured out why I didn't have 107 psi and she stalled out on me... Happened when I was just cruising along at about 40 towing my sons on a tube. The day before I had the RAVE solenoid to compressor tube blow out from heat/pressure.

Let me go ahead and kick you while you're down
if that siezed up and stalled the engine, the potential is great that you also twisted the counterweight on the CB shaft. If you notice excessive vibration now, that's why.

Thanks. I'll keep it in mind if I feel something.
edit: Now that I'm thinking about what you were saying, I should say that it didn't "stall the motor" like you might be saying. I lost fuel pressure and stalled.

How many hours on the ski? If you're at 175 or higher it's time for a new engine. Life expectancy if a 951 200 hours.

Fingers are crossed for you. Just remember those hours. We've seen it here time and time again. I've seen plenty of 951's ventilate the crankcase. Bro in law keeps asking why I don't have any 951 skis. Just waiting for his timer to go off, lol.
