PROBLEMS WITH 2004 RX DI

Hi, im in here for my dad. were new to jet skis so were stuck on what to do with our problems.
It wouldn't start and we changed the battery and spark plugs and now it starts after a few times and stays on. Our RXDI will not rev above a low RPM an goes about 2mph max on the water as well as the nose wanting to dip a bit too low. after taking it out going that slow speed, the gears with F, N & R wants to stick so it now won't go into forward but goes into N & R.
any opinions on what we can do or try to fix the issues?

You guys definitely started off with the monster. As far as forward, reverse. Check the back of the ski for the reverse gate and spray some good lubricant on it. Same with the front section. Try to free it up. You may have a bad cable. Try to free it up first then if you have to buy a used cable.

As for the engine, you could have a number of issues. Fuel pressure, air pressure, bad injectors etc...

check your battery voltage and read up on the rectifier. Lots of times they cause problems and are not all that expensive plus they are pretty easy to replace. Good Luck.
