Plug wires and boots

The boot should have an internal ceramic resistor with a resistance of 5K (I believe this is correct for all 2-stroke SeaDoos). Any higher can reduce your ignition efficiency. Any lower can reduce the life of your ignition coil and create ignition noise that can potentially crash the MPEM. I believe the OEM boot is an NGK TB05EMA.

"Resistor plugs should always be used where they are recommended by the manufacturers. The use of non-resistor plugs, could, in some cases, result in damage to electronic components." -- NGK

It's not as critical as it might be otherwise, as the spark plug (assuming you're using the correct one) also has a 5K ceramic resistor in it. That's the 'R' in BR8ES.
