i have a 90 seadoo 587 yellow motor. i can’t get it to run right
it starts right up and idles fine as soon as you hit the throttle it wants to die
have rebuilt the carb with a new carb kit
it’s an aftermarket carb with a pulse pump built in. have tried it with carb pump and mechanical pump in the hull. no difference
swapped the carb with my perfectly running 587 and it does the same exhaust thing. so it isnt the carb figured fuel lines but i ran the in line straight from a gas can to the carb using the pulse line on the carb. no difference.

will run and rev fine with starting fluid
compression tested at 150 both cylinders strong

ANY IDEAS? pull the plug and can tell it’s not getting enough gas. no leaks

Yes it's not pulling fuel from the tank. Those plastic T fittings that go down into the grommet on the top of the tank will crack and draw air in. The fuel selector will also clog or draw in air when the rubber inside shrinks and hardens.

The fuel lines below the fuel tank grommet likely need to be replaced with new lines that are rated to be in fuel. On the bottom of those lines in the tank are filter/weights that have a check ball in them. If it has had old fuel left in it to turn to varnish before then those can be stuck or plugged.
