Hi All

see picture of a new set of pistons I got I, dropped it and manged to take a very small piece of metal of of it how I don't know

my question is will this still work or cause damage ?

2nd question 2 rings one is sold and the other is like a L has a grove it it which go where ?

my understanding the L shape goes at the top ?

lost the data sheet cant find anything stating the correct sequence 2nd pic is the L and 3rd is the normal one

You could try cleaning that up with a very fine file but there is always a chance it could snag the ring in the future so it is a gamble.
The regular ring goes on the bottom with the stamped mark to the top, typically an "R".
The "L" shaped ring goes in the top groove with the thin part of the "L" facing up.

On all rings any markings always face up.

Thanks for the info ,too much of a gamble, just spent hunders of dollars re building the motor bottom to top , cant afford to damage it again
