great thanks. so this is the only bit I need to be concerned with in terms of adding coolant related to freezing. No need to add any anywhere else correct? Also where can I expect this to shoot out to catch? lol.
 
also let's say I was unable to connect a hose to the port to run the antifreeze through, can I add antifreeze any other way to do the same thing. I recall have my old 97 GTI and we just added coolant somewhere, sorry no very mechanically inclined at all.

Yep. That's the only place you need to add any antifreeze. I don't know any other way to get it through the system properly than to pump it through. It will come out inside the pump/impeller housing so it will not be a normal stream. It kind of "blows" out the back end. But the majority of it will be draining off the radiator/ride plate in the back (the plate you pulled the plug out of to change the coolant. It's a messy, but effective way to prevent freeze up inside the fresh water system.
 
where can i get a cheap submersible pump, for flushing the coolant thru.

Oh man, I'm not sure in Canada. I got mine at Harbor Freight Tools I think. If you look around you can find them for $20 to $30 US. Marine stores will have them but much more money. Pools stores have them for pumping water off the pool cover in the winter. That was what mine was listed as, but it's really more of like a fish pond pump for landscaping.
 
i bought a small bilge pump for $21 at cdn. tire. then got some clear tubing, and some hose adapters, and boom worked great, sucked the antifreeze thru flush port. bit messy with the antifreeze. my only concern is that i fogged the plugs and the fuel injectors prior to flushing in the antifreeze. is the fogging oil no-effective now, as i ran the motor to get the coolant thru.

I would pull the plugs, spray fogging oil for a quick second in each cylinder, turn it over for a quick second, put the plugs back in and call it good. glad it all worked well!
 
perfect. did so, because I actually had new plugs in and then was told don't bother, so I put the older ones in until next season. So this RV Antifreeze, Just so I know in the spring, I will just flush this out? and if so where, into to a bucket, or is this stuff ok for the lakes?

I wouldn't flush it into the lake. You should double check the label to be sure it's non-toxic (it should be if for RV), and if so then I would just flush it there at home (yard, drain, etc.). You will want to fire it up in the spring and make sure all is well before heading to the lake anyway (put battery back in etc.). My bet is she fires up and runs like a champ! Good job putting it to bed for the winter. You should have no problems next spring.
