So I decided to paint the handles on the sportster today. I used the Dupli paint that was made for plastic. Now the handles are sticky as a (can't come up with a funny saying). But they are sticky.

Either, can someone tell me how to get the paint off, what paint i should use? or where i can goto buy new handles for a 96 sportster?

Thanks.

Its a different part number for my boat, and they just told me it was discontinued...

So whats my next step? Attempt to get the paint off the handles and repaint them with something else?

Can anyone suggest a good paint to use for those handles?

I found some rubberize spray paint, i hit them with that and it looks as if its going to work perfect!!!

you should be able to go into a common marine shop and buy generic handles.. I bought some from Academy sporting goods boating section, and also saw them at sports authority.

Look out for when they get wet and hot, could bubble and drip...

Are you talkin about the rubber vinyl handles..? I think you should be able to dye them with that rit dye
