RESTO Paint correction details

1. What is your process, equipment, and materials used to correct oxidized gelcoat?
2. Do you prefer a wax or ceramic coating?
3. Do you bother with the underside?
4. Do you buff the black plastic windshields?

Feel free to answer none, some, or all with knowledge. I am no body man (yet), but i catch on quick!
Any other tips and tricks would be awesome as i get my 99 speedster ready for the spring.

Blue scotch brite and some soft scrub. Then use some buffing compound to finish it.

This is like an oil question....

I started using the Meguiar's marine compounds a couple years ago and they work much easier and faster on gelcoat than the automotive stuff.

For the black deflectors if they are tinted clear plastic use Novus polish.
