not to bad

You can use block off kits or leave the pumps on the motor. Be sure and remove the plastic shaft behind the injector pumps. leave the oil lines running to the block. They lube the rotary valve gear. I removed my pump, used block off plate, and zip tied caps on the intake manifolds were the injector lines used to be. I use seadoo synthetic at 40:1

Not hard, but like Glen said, remove the plastic drive piece. It's not so easy though. You have to remove the front cover to get to it on a 787 engine. Honestly not a huge deal, but factor in some time, good choice words, and a little bit of blood. The last can be avoided if you have a small child with small hands!
Then just premix

plastic piece

I did not have to remove mag cover. I just grabed the piece with some needle nose plyers and it came right out. Less blood here :)

I capped the line from the tank to the pump and zip tied it above the oil tank so no chance of drippings. Thinking I may want to go back to injection i did not use an expoxy on the intake prts but used the rubber caps that came with the kit and zip tied those. Make sure you cap those as you do not want to be sucking in the extra air. LEAN MEAN GERNADING MACHINE. I also used a bit of high temp black rvt on the block off plate to keep any water and dirt out.
