Okay i am new to ski's. i just got this ski and was told it was not premix, i pull the seat off and one off the oil lines "the one with the filter on it" is plugged. the other is hooked on the bottom "im guessing the oil pump". i tried to find a hose barb type connection that it could have went to but cant find anything. i am kind of unsure if i should fill the oil tank and try to run it. i would think the filter would be on the inlet line and the other a return. could someone help. extra info, when i got the ski i was told it was haveing some carb issues. it had some little oil and water in the hull but it had been sitting for 3-4 months.

pic #2 one is the feed(w/inline filter)which you mention is plugged?? into what or is it capped?
If it is capped then you are on pre mix and yes fill tank b/c other line goes to the RV and there sould be a return. follow lines from tank.
The little lines replace them if your are NOT on premix. they go bad and its cheap insurance. Factory lines were know to crack and cause failures.

take carb off w/silver allen head bolt holding it to intake.
looking down pic #1 and #2

you can premix 32oz API-TC oil ONLY not TC-W3 to 5 gal. to get it running and yes fill oil tank it needs it for the RV at hte crank(bottom of motor)

change plugs while your at too for good measure.

Post in the ski section for better results. Above in the PWC section

thanks i wasnt sure what the other hose was for. i got the ski with about 5 gallons of old gas that i siphoned out was yellow, no oil it. hope the damage isnt to bad if they ran it with straight gas.

So was it capped??(hose with filter removed from engine).
If all the line are still connected then boat is NOT premix.
Can't tell from the pictures..
No purple/blue color in gas means PO did not premix.

was good ideas to start with fresh gas but add some oil until you can see oil in the tank go down. Draw a line on it.
You want to make sure engine has oil.
Otherwise you will need new motor

yes in the first picture im holding the line with the filter on it, it has a plug into the end of the hose "barly make it out in the picture". i guess ill just thro some premix in the gas tank and try to fire it up. what would it do if it has been ran on straight gas by previous owner. i dont really have the tools to do a compression test or i would do that first. im guessing i cant mess anything else up if its already shot
