ok a little history of me i was a ford master tech for 7 years before i decided to go off on my own business venture. Not involved in mechanics anymore but still have all my tools so im pretty capable of working on most things. But ive never messed with pwc and i know the 4-tec uses a pcm of some sort. This past weekend i purchased 2 2005 rxp skis. One runs like a top the other one has a misfire at what seems more noticable at idle or top speed. I went to run the ski to see how it did in the water But i learned the hard way about checking that hose clamp on the exhaust outlet and the ski and the one with the miss filled up with water when i backed the trailer in the water. it didnt seem to affect anything but i brought the ski to the local dealer to have it checked out anyways and have them look into the misfire, i did a compression test before i took it and all 3 cylinders had around 130, and the plugs looked ok. i did some research and i saw there was some issues with internal leaking in the intercooler, is there anything i should be aware of? I know this is probably going to be the only trip to the shop for the ski as i have a manual on the way. If you have any other helpful info you would like to share about the rxp i would love to hear it. Thanks in advance for any help provided.

As bill said you can not tell by looking at the spark plugs to tell if they are bad or not. Make sure you use the plugs that they came out with (DCPR8E). The tops must unscrew. Changing the plugs should fix this problem unless there is a check engine or code that pops up.

thanks for all the help, right now it's in the shop, so I'll see what they say if they try to hose me I'll go pick it up, I droped it off before I found this site I also ordered a shop manual.
