FULL-THROTTLE

New Member
I am about to break in my new engine from SBT, I know the rpm limits and cool down time limits that SBT tech dept explained, but they recommended adding some oil to the fuel to aid in additional lubrication during breakin, but I did not write down how much to add, I will top off the tank 40 gallons, how much oil should I add???

Also should I use the same oil I use in the oil tank, AMSOIL??

Thanks for the help,

Fran

Use synthetic 2 stroke oil. I was told a 35:1 or 40:1 ratio during breakin for the full tank of gas. (3 Quarts for 40 Gal of gas).

There is an article on SBT's website that tells you step by step. If your using the injection tank use 50:1 premix. If not go 35:1.

Amsoil should be fine, make sure its the "interceptor", "dominator" or "saber"...
the HPI isn't quite as good, and u wanna be sure for breakin to use good oil.

Theres lots of other options, just be sure its synthetic 2-cycle API-TC, not TC-W3.
