need help

I was going off some waves with my jetski and after i landed i noticed that it couldnt go as fast. like i can usualy get up to 71 but now i can only get up to 55. Also i noticed that the gas thing was a little bit loose so i think that may have something to do with it, but im not sure.

Check the intake grate, impeller, and entire water path, front to rear.
