figured i would say hi and introduce myself.
my name is mike and i have been interested in the seadoo xp for a long time.
long story short i was serching craigslist for seadoos and ran across my new purchase.
the ski was bought for his daughter new and has all the receipts and maintance records unfortunately it has sat for roughly1.5- 2 years while shes been in school away and kinda gave up wanting to ride it so it went up for sale.
im not sure the father knew what he had because it was just listed as a seadoo not an xp or a limited.. and i got it for a great price with trailor roughly 1thousand with trailor with tax/associated fees.
well to my surprise the ski started first hit(i was a little skeptical) and ran pretty well.. it has the proper 2stroke seadoo oil (was given 2 gallons of it) i filled it with 93octane non ethanol and a few marine stabile and carb cleaner and have run it very lightly.. each time i take it out it gets better and runs a little stronger.. still havnt gone wot or over 4,500 on the rpm gauge.
i have a huge receipt book and maintenance log that i was given.. it has a riva intake and a upgraded exhaust. i did new plugs and wires that i got from the seadoo dealership. the next and proably last modd will be the sponcer fins or what not..
overall i am very happy with my ski except the vtc does not work... it works at the box but not on the hand controls i am trying to sort that all out with the oms and what not thru the wiring.(any help would be appreciated)
it has a cover and i have a floating jetski dock on the way..( i live on a waterway)
i live in myrtle beach/charleston area if anyone is semi local.
