My 2003 GTX won't get past 10mph and makes a wierd noise when revved up in the water

Ok, so I've had this ski for 3 months now. Two months ago it mysteriously made the winding noise in the video while going 50mph and came to a stop. I started it up again and was fine for the rest of the day. It happened twice the next time I went out. After a few more outings where this occurred more and more frequently, the ski now can't even get past 10mph.

Could I have worn driveshaft splines?

yup sounds like stripped splines. take it apart and look.

Sounds exactly like my rxt. Just did the same thing. Stripped driveshaft splines. I replaced the whole thing. Driveshaft, carbon ring , impellar and wear ring.
